NEEDHAM, Mass., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ — AccuFund, Inc., provider of
financial reporting and accounting software for non-profit, municipal and
government organizations, today announced the availability of Version 3.07 of
the AccuFund Accounting Suite. This latest release features enhancements to
several of the system’s core modules, offering greater usability, speed and
    productivity for its users.

Major improvements were made to the following core modules in the AccuFund
Accounting Suite: Cash Receipts, Human Resources, Grants Management, Accounts
Payable, and AF Query, a tool for executives and others who need to review
accounting data and run reports but are not regular users of the system. The
Cash Receipts module now includes point-of-sale functionality and allows
cashiers to process EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and automatic direct
payments from customers’ checking accounts for all receivables.

“We are always seeking ways to make the AccuFund Accounting Suite even
more user-friendly, but more specifically, we want to ensure it meets the
needs of its users and helps them perform and complete their tasks as
efficiently and easily as possible,” stated Peter Stam, president of AccuFund,
Inc. “This latest upgrade provides users with functionality that enables them
to customize views and the creation of records and reports, as well as speed
processing of customer payments and increase overall time savings.”

For municipalities and non-profits that need retail capabilities, but not
    a full-fledged point-of-sale, AccuFund’s Cash Receipts module now has a
point-of-sale screen that displays unit prices and quantities that are tied to
current inventory. The Cash Receipts module now has the ability to use
automatic EFT functionality to directly withdraw the amount due from the
customer’s checking account for recurring bills such as utility bills,
property taxes and other recurring fees.

Users of the enhanced Human Resources and Grants Management modules now
obtain complete control and flexibility over how respective information is set
up, as the systems are completely user-definable. Users can establish what
fields are required, how fields are arranged, and what fields are the default
    and display automatically.

With respect to reporting capabilities, the Human Resources and Grants
management modules both provide pre-defined reports, yet also enable
user-defined reports for generating information based on the organization’s
    particular needs.

The Human Resources module also now offers more seamless integration with
the AccuFund Payroll module. In addition to tracking extensive information on
employees, such as EEO reporting, training, certifications, performance
reviews, earnings and disciplinary actions, the Human Resources module now
allows organizations to configure these HR items to meet their specific
    requirements.

The Grants Management module also now offers single navigation and the
ability to sort grants information in as many categories as needed. Grants
can also be tracked while in process and after receipt. In addition, users can
create grant accounting start and end dates that restrict posting to the
general ledger. For reporting purposes, budget information stored in Grants
Management may now also be transferred to the AccuFund Accounting Suite’s
General Ledger through the Suite’s Budget Development module.

Feature enhancements are also included in these other modules in the
AccuFund Accounting Suite: General Ledger, Payroll, Report and Forms Designer,
Allocations, Utility Billing, Budget Development, Fixed Assets, Web Pay,
Representative Payee, and Financial Report Designer.

    Availability

The AccuFund Accounting Suite Version 3.07 is available in both Standard
and Professional editions. The pricing for the core system begins at $2,995
    and $6,595, respectively.

BOSTON, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Earth Search Sciences, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: ESSE), a technology company focused on the development of
domestic, inland oil resources, today announced the appointment of a key
addition to its senior management team. Michael D. Lockhart has been appointed
    as Earth Search’s Chief Scientist.

As Chief Scientist, Lockhart is responsible for developing and
implementing a comprehensive technology strategy for Earth Search (ESSI).
Lockhart has developed more than 30 patentable technologies in various
technology fields and has extensive experience running R&D projects for
General Dynamics and several government agencies.

Luis Lugo, CEO of ESSI, believes Lockhart’s expertise in environmental
impact assessments will help ESSI in its efforts to develop technologies that
contribute economically, without the environmental impacts normally associated
    with petrochemical resource development.

“In the end, the technologies and subsequent applications we develop will
be subject to strict environmental scrutiny,” said Lugo. “We want to make sure
ESSI leads the way in creating zero footprint standards and practices that
serve as a benchmark for the industry as a whole.”

Lugo said Lockhart’s appointment comes at a critical juncture as ESSI
closes in its proof-of-concept gasification technology testing scheduled for
    the fall.

“Michael’s impressive technology background will make crucial
contributions in helping to originate and direct R&D efforts for our patented
gasification process and our patented ultraspectral remote sensing
    instruments.”

“I have had the pleasure of working as a consultant on a key ESSI project
for several months and am extremely excited to help advance the company’s
technologies that have the potential to promote environmentally-sound domestic
oil production and national security,” said Lockhart.

Lockhart has 28 years of experience as a senior analyst and research
scientist in biosurveillance and information analysis, environmental
engineering, synthetic organic and analytical chemistry fields, applied
optical physics, and in the defense industry.

Lockhart has provided environmental and occupational health consulting
services for many local, state, federal, and private agencies and industries -
many of those services focused on environmental compliance and site analysis,
environmental evaluations, indoor air quality assessments, and EPA and OSHA
    industrial training.

Lockhart holds an M.A. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia.

About Earth Search Sciences - http://www.earthsearch.com

Earth Search Sciences, Inc.’s [OTCBB:ESSE] revolutionary ultraspectral
technology provides the ability to accurately read the chemical properties of
surface substances from great altitudes and produce easily interpreted maps
allowing the user to identify specific minerals and substances on the surface
of the earth by their diagnostic reflectance patterns. Ultimately, this remote
sensing capability identifies a greater number of exploration targets quickly
and economically, monitors the environmental situation, and improves the
probability of finding anomalies. Older, more conventional methods would take
decades to cover the same area, and at a much greater cost. Within the realm
of exploration, remote sensing does not replace the need for geological
knowledge, geochemistry, geophysics, seismic, drilling, etc, which are some of
the more conventional tools used for exploration. The application of Earth
Search’s patented and IP-protected hyperspectral technology cuts across the
    commercial, medical and military spectra.

This news release includes forward-looking statements that involve a
number of risks and uncertainties. The information reflects numerous
assumptions as to industry performance, general business and economic
conditions, regulatory and legal requirements, taxes and other matters, many
of which are beyond the control of the company. Similarly, this information
assumes certain future business decisions that are subject to change. There
can be no assurance that the results predicted here will be realized. Actual
results may vary from those represented, and those variations may be material.

    BOSTON, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ — It’s shopping as a full-contact sport, and
the women who take part in the “Running of the Brides” at Filene’s Basement in
Boston wouldn’t have it any other way.

The latest bargain stampede takes place this Friday, August 22nd, at the
Hynes Convention Center in Back Bay. When the doors open at 8:00am many
brides-to-be and their helpers will literally pounce on dresses priced from
$249-$699 that might otherwise cost as much as $9,000.

“We promise our vendors that we won’t reveal the labels, but I can say
that these are well-known names featured regularly on the pages of popular
brides’ magazines,” said Anna Podore, Filene’s Basement’s wedding gown buyer.
Which is why, when the doors open, there is a mad dash to the racks — held up
by store employees so they don’t topple — and those racks are usually
stripped bare in under a minute. Then it’s time for the women to strip — down
to leotards, sports bras or even underwear — to try on the gowns right on the
    sales floor.

If it doesn’t quite fit, a seamstress can do the trick, and the bride can
still come out way ahead. But what happens if a petite bride found she pounced
on a size 14 dress in pink chiffon instead of a size 4 in white satin? That’s
when the real fun begins, as the women start bartering to find the right
designer or size. It’s a ritual that turns Filene’s Basement into an
    old-fashioned bazaar.

Filene’s Basement’s “Running of the Brides” is being moved to the Hynes
Convention Center at 900 Boylston Street, Boston while the original store in
Downtown Crossing is undergoing renovations. The sale hours are 8:00am to
8:00pm. Checks, credit cards and cash are accepted; all sales are final. For
more information go to www.filenesbasement.com and click on “Our World-famous
    Bridal Event.”
